Who won at the 2015 Clio, Clio Music and Clio Healthcare?

New York – This year’s Clio Awards has concluded Thursday, handing out 14 Grand awards spread out in three divisions: Clio, Clio Health and Clio Music.

“Of the Year” honors, representing the most awarded companies of 2015, were presented in five categories and include some of the biggest names in advertising today. WPP was the toast of the night, winning the coveted Holding company of the year.

WPP-owned Ogilvy & Mather followed suit and was named Network of the Year. R/GA New York was Clio’s Agency of the year while Illusion Bangkok brought home glory for Asia for winning Production Company of the year.

Meanwhile, 28 To Many, a values-based charity working to end female genital mutilation (FGM), was awarded Advertiser of the Year.

“This year was one of the most difficult for the CLIO judges, competition was so high,” said CLIO President Nicole Purcell.

“Creatives and brands are truly engaging audiences with thought-provoking storytelling, inventive uses of music and artistic elements usually reserved for other mediums. The expert level of talent was reflected in this year’s submissions and made for an exciting year.”

All 11 Clio categories awarded Grand Awards, arguably one of the world’s most elusive awards for the ad industry. Here’s the complete list:

The awards night capped-off with the awarding of the Lifetime Achievement Award to DDB Chairman Emeritus Keith Reinhard. Reinhard received a warm ovation from the crowd and spent most of his speech in praise of his wife. He recounted the first time they met during the “mad men” days, and said if advertising hadn’t existed, he probably would have invented it.

CLIO Healthcare

The Lucky Iron Fish Project, a campaign that seeks to make iron deficiency a thing of the past in Cambodia, was the big winner at Clio Healthcare for winning the Advertiser of the year award and a Grand Clio for Innovation.

Joining Iron Fish in the top podium are Publicis Worldwide, named as Agency Network of the Year, and Publicis New York, who was named Agency of the Year.
CLIO Healthcare’s 2015 Honorary recipient was Dr. Mickey Chopra, the former chief of health and associate director of programs at UNICEF’s New York Headquarters.

He led UNICEF efforts along with the World Health Organization to design and launch a road map for strategies against the two major killers of children, the Global Action Plan for Pneumonia and Diarrhea. His career-long focus on campaigns that engage and reach audiences make him the honorary winner this year.

CLIO Music

Celebrating creative excellence in the world of music marketing and advertising, CLIO Music handed out 2 grand awards . “The Game Before the Game,” made by R/GA for Beats by Dr.Dre won the top prize for the Use of Music category while Spotify and Uber’s “Your Ride. Your Music” was the big winner in the partnerships/collaboration category.
