AMSTERDAM – 180 Amsterdam has made another major creative hire following the appointment of Dave Canning and Dan Treichel as Executive Creative Directors. Joining the agency as Creative Director is former Wieden + Kennedy creative Adam Noel.

Before working with W+K Portland, Noel has worked with a number of top agencies like Droga5, BBDO and J. Walter Thompson.

“Bringing Adam to Europe is a major coup for 180 Amsterdam. After Dan and Dave came onboard at the start of 2015, we felt it was important to take our time in selecting the world’s most creative talents to join our team, and, as soon as we met Adam, we knew he had the exact attitude, pedigree and flair that we were looking for,” commented Al Moseley, President and Chief Creative Officer, 180 Amsterdam.

During his stint in Droga5, he helped the agency pick up a Cannes Titanium Lion and Grand Prix for the campaign ‘Decode Jay-Z’ for Microsoft. He was also part of the team behind ‘The Celebrity Tap Project’ for UNICEF, and other award-winning campaigns for brands such as Nike, Snickers, and Activision.

Taking on a creative leadership role, Noel will try to snatch another ‘Agency of the Year’ award, this time, for 180 Amsterdam and establish the shop as one of the premiere agencies in the world.

“The agency has such a rich history, combined with a ton of extremely talented people working here. The opportunity to work with, and learn from, Al, Dan, Dave and their team is what attracted me to move to Europe,” said Noel. “There is a plethora of global clients within the 180 Amsterdam building. Our challenge is to create work that is born out of sharp, human truths and which can speak across borders.”
