ASIA-PACIFIC – SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, AUGUST 1, 2011 – Following the agency’s recent business win for Coke Unleashed, Wunderman has opened a specialist promotions division to capitalize on the growing opportunities in the promotional digital space.
“It quickly became apparent that promotions have become an intrinsic part of the digital landscape and can have significant impact on CRM and loyalty programs,” says Wunderman MD Jo Lloyd. “We’re finding that clients are keen to explore promotional opportunities outside of their traditional channels, particularly via member associations and partnership programs”.
The new Wunderman team is headed by Chris Yeo, who has worked in the promotions field for more than 20 years in NZ, UK and Australia. Yeo has a wealth of experience working for major clients in non-traditional channels, including experiential, events, shopper marketing and branded entertainment.
Joining Yeo are Christine Watts and Arianne Flintoff. Watts has had experience in the beauty, sporting and alcohol industries, including Pernod Ricard and more recently as promotions and branded events co-coordinator at Suntory. Flintoff has worked with FMGC, alcohol, consumer electronics, motor and not-for-profit companies in Australia and the US.
Yeo said that the new team would initially manage the Coke Unleashed transition: “We will then look at how other Wunderman clients can build an innovative and compelling promotional offer to drive engagement and purchase.”
