Singapore – ZOO group has opened an office in Singapore, its first agency outside of Australasia, lead by former managing director at Ogilvy & Mather Singapore Shirley Tay.
Tay worked for Ogilvy for over 15 years holding various roles. She left the agency last week after over two years in the MD role.
“It was a difficult decision” Tay admits. “However, I am very excited by the opportunity to build, shape and create something that truly adds value to the clients businesses and the people that I work with. It is back to the fundamentals of keeping it simple, giving clients the assurance to navigate and stand out in today’s complex environment. It is going to be daunting and challenging to start from ground zero but at the same time fulfilling.”
ZOO Singapore is ZOO group’s fifth creative agency and its first office in Southeast Asia. It has offices in Auckland, Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney.
Pawl Cubbin, ZOO group CEO, said, “We are passionate about developing a strong, global independent network, and we know that attracting the best and brightest people in each region is crucial. Singapore is the right place for us extend our network outside of Australasia, and with Tay onboard we’re confident that it’s the right time.”
