MANILA, PHILIPPINES — A recent consumer and market insights study by Samsung Electronics reveals that a majority of Filipinos believe AI fuels both creativity and efficiency, especially in communication. In fact, 6 out of 10 Pinoys are now more inclined to invest in smartphones and home appliances equipped with AI features, proof that intelligent technology is no longer a luxury, but a lifestyle enabler.

Since the debut of Galaxy AI, Samsung has steadily built its vision of AI-powered everyday life. And with the Galaxy S25 series making waves this January, the tech giant is doubling down on intuitive, personalized experiences designed with the Filipino user in mind. In a regional survey that spanned over 2,600 respondents across Southeast Asia, Filipino consumers stood out for their deep enthusiasm for AI particularly in areas where technology meets creativity and convenience. Whether it’s for productivity or play, Pinoys are exploring AI’s potential with open minds and open arms.

From writing and language translation to problem-solving and design, Filipinos are tapping AI as their digital co-creator. According to the study, 44% of Filipino users turn to AI for writing, while 42% use it for language translation and 39% for problem solving. These are higher rates than any of their Southeast Asian counterparts. Creative tasks like music composition, graphic design, photography, videography, and even cooking inspiration are also gaining momentum. Interestingly, the lines between work and play are blurring 48% of respondents use AI for photo editing, while 42% turn to it for entertainment and idea generation.

On the mobile front, users are gravitating toward features that amplify efficiency and creativity. Think AI-assisted photo editing, enhanced search, and article summarization. The new Galaxy S25 series answers this demand head-on, equipped with multimodal AI agents that seamlessly understand text, voice, visuals, and video for more natural interactions.

Features like Circle to Search, AI Select, Browsing Assist, and Notes Assist are redefining multitasking, while Portrait Studio and Drawing Assist are putting creative tools straight into users’ pockets.

“Early this year, we unveiled in CES our focus of making AI an ‘Everyday, Everywhere’ experience, enabling people to experience a more personal and empowering world through our connected home appliances. And very recently, we also launched the Galaxy S25 series, which sets a new standard as a true AI companion with our most natural and context-aware mobile experience yet. All these reinforces Samsung’s leadership in the AI field and our commitment to making the benefits of AI more accessible to Filipinos,” shared Jun Guevara, Head of Mobile Experience, Samsung Electronics Philippines.
