Bites Studio elevates tabletop production with the relaunch of pioneering hub Director’y

WARSAW, POLAND — Bites, a production studio specializing in tabletop, today announces the relaunching of its tabletop hub Director’y as it evolves into a space for mutual dialogue, inspiration, and education, with aims to take the industry to new heights.

Bites’ independent initiative was originally engineered to promote leading tabletop talent and their work, thereby providing a simple tool for agencies and production houses to search for inspiration, references, and new contacts. The latest update, however, goes above and beyond those initial functions.

The improved site boasts a number of advanced features, including a sleek updated search mechanism and layout built with user experience in mind, as well as a brand new Insight section, full of reading material on the world of food filming, visual art, tabletop technology, and more. This in particular is set to be groundbreaking development in the sector, marking the beginning of a transparent discussion of the future amongst industry professionals that will shape the standards of their work. Established for the benefit of the community, it will provide a forum in which members can both inspire and be inspired, allowing them to showcase their voice, in addition to just their work.

To ensure that key topics are being discussed holistically on the platform, an advisory committee has also been established, spearheaded by diverse professionals representing different parts of the industry. In addition to Jakub Laskus (Founder and CEO of Bites), the board consists of global trailblazers Antonella Scoliero (Co-founder, CEO, and EP at 360FX), Wael Said (Head of AV Production for Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis ME, One Team Stellantis, Studio M and E&), Scott Pugnetti (Commercial Directors Manager at Aylene Gardiner Agency and Equals Management), Katarzyna Zyzało-Moczydłowska (Independent Business Consultant), Etienne Proulx (Director and Cinematographer), and Robert Payton (Director and Cinematographer).

Expanding the site’s reach, food stylists have also been invited into the hub to display their portfolios, recognizing them as a vital part of the industry.

Director’y Art Director and Chief Editor Agnieszka Celej comments: “Everything about Director’y, from the layout to the features, has been shaped to make creators and their work shine. We hope that these developments will encourage our community to speak up, to be seen and heard, and start conversations about creativity, workflow, production processes, and many many more.
