SINGAPORE — Multi-award-winning independent PR and social agency, W, kicked off the new year with the addition of on-demand food company, Deliveroo, to its client portfolio.
The retainer scope will see W manage both corporate and consumer communications for Deliveroo in Singapore, focused on building positive brand reputation and brand love for the delivery service through hyperlocal stories.
All communications will emphasize Deliveroo’s passion for connecting Singaporeans to the best restaurants and merchants in their neighborhoods, helping them discover a world of great food at their doorsteps.
As the Asian headquarters of W Communications, one of UK’s most awarded communications agencies, W in Singapore is a partner to some of the most notable brands in the world and Asia. These include Häagen-Dazs, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Impossible Foods, Marks & Spencer, TUMI, and more.
Jolin Ng, General Manager, W in Singapore, said, “Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen Deliveroo become an essential part of consumers’ lives, as well as open up new revenue streams and earning opportunities for restaurants and delivery riders. We’re thrilled to bring our expertise in ‘corpsumer’ communications and instinct for news to elevate the Deliveroo brand and tell impactful stories to local audiences.”
Warren Johnson, Founder, W Communications, added, “Having launched Deliveroo to the world out of London in 2014, we are excited for this reunion and to be expanding our partnership to Asia, a key market for both entities. We aim to continue delivering business-changing results for them as how we’ve done previously.”
Jason Parke, General Manager, Deliveroo Singapore, said, “The continued growth in on-demand food and grocery delivery presents new opportunities for us to double down on our commitment to consumers, riders, and merchants while solidifying our brand as the definitive on-demand food company. As we refine our focus on our brand narrative and brand engagement, W stood out with their creativity, excellent media relations and of course, passion for food. We’re confident that their experience will complement our growth ambitions and look forward to a successful partnership.”
