MANILA, PHILIPPINES — 4As Philippines, the organization spearheaded by the Filipino advertising industry for the industry, has recently announced VML Manila Chief Creative Officer Joe Dy as the 2024-2025 Creative Guild President. The announcement was first made at the awards ceremony for “The Award That Matters,” the 4As Agency of the Year Awards, on September 13 by Melvin Mangada, Chairperson and Chief Creative Officer of TBWA\ Santiago Mangada Puno and 4As Philippines Chairperson.
“I would like to acknowledge VML [Manila]’s Joe Dy. He is the new Creative Guild President for 2024 to 2025. Thank you, Joe, for accepting the position, and good luck! We look forward to your leadership in 2025,” Melvin remarked during the show.
Joe succeeds Havas Ortega Group Executive Creative Director (ECD) Angie Tijam-Tohid as Guild President and will be tasked with leading the annual CreativeFest and Kidlat Awards, from its creative direction to execution. This appointment also follows an amazing year for VML Manila at the 2024 Kidlat Awards, with the agency scoring Agency of the Year and an impressive haul of awards, from bagging a Grand Prix to KBP’s Radio Ad of the Year and more.
Furthermore, Joe is a multi-awarded creative leader with Cannes Lions-winning works and more. Most recently, he also imparted some wisdom at the 4As General Members meeting, emphasizing the importance of the “uncomfort zone” when it comes to creative work.
