NEW YORK, USA — Matter Unlimited, an award-winning social impact consultancy and certified B Corp, has announced the promotion of Alexandra Gordon to President. After nearly eight years as Managing Partner, Alexandra continues to serve as a vital change agent, activating the combined talents and interests of the Executive Leadership team to better face the intersectional cultural and business challenges of mission-driven brands and organizations.
Separate from her previous responsibilities as Managing Partner, Alexandra’s new focus will be on driving and managing Matter’s continued growth, while also burnishing the reputation of the consultancy as a trusted partner built for the purpose-led economy. She will also help redefine its unique value proposition, bringing her strategies to life across a range of new marketing, thought leadership, and IP initiatives.
As President, Alexandra sees an opportunity to bring a new perspective to conversations with business leaders to generate meaningful impact.
“In my eight years at Matter Unlimited I have had the privilege of working with a variety of people who are dedicating their talent and time to bettering peoples’ lives,” said Alexandra. “I have been with them in boardrooms, conference rooms, classrooms, living rooms, and hospital rooms all over the world to help them tell their stories and have those stories catalyze meaningful action. But now, there is an even greater urgency for solutions and, as our company’s President, I look forward to applying more ingenuity in finding more opportunity than ever before.”
With a career spanning countless facets of marketing, business strategy, and public service, Alexandra has worked in some of the most esteemed creative agency networks, including M&C Saatchi and DDB. At Matter Unlimited, she has been integral in countless transformative strategic and creative client partnerships, collaborating with The Obama Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, Merck for Mothers program battling maternal mortality and, most recently, with Gildan for its “Gildan Made with Respect” ESG platform. She has spoken at the UN on the role of storytelling in the fight to end maternal mortality, is a proud Big Sister as part of the NYC BBBS program, and is also on the board of the 49% – a media company using women’s storytelling to advocate for sustainable change.
“Alexandra’s elevation to President is a recognition of tremendous dedication and leadership as well as a signal that we are meeting the new demands of the purpose economy head-on,” said Matter Unlimited Founder and CEO Rob Holzer. “I am so grateful and proud to have Alexandra by my side in this new capacity as we embark on our next, most exciting chapter at Matter where we continue to grow our impact on the world.”
