Nikki Grafton named CEO of Omnicom Media Group New Zealand

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND – Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has appointed Nikki Grafton as its first-ever dedicated CEO for New Zealand. Formerly the CEO of PHD New Zealand, Grafton now steps into this pioneering role, marking a shift from OMG’s previous ANZ-led structure to a market-specific leadership approach.

Taking charge of a portfolio that includes OMD, PHD, and Hearts & Science, Grafton will spearhead OMG New Zealand’s strategic growth, ensuring its agencies are equipped with cutting-edge tools, talent, and technology to keep brands ahead in a rapidly evolving industry. She will report directly to OMG APAC CEO Tony Harradine and work closely with OMD New Zealand CEO Nigel Douglas and Hearts & Science ANZ CEO Jane Stanley.

With two decades of experience at PHD New Zealand, Grafton has been instrumental in shaping the agency’s success, cementing its reputation for innovation and strong client relationships. Under her leadership, PHD has consistently outperformed the market, earning top accolades including a Dominant rating from RECMA and securing high-profile wins like the Lion NZ business.

Grafton has also led PHD to major victories at the Cannes Lions and Festival of Media Awards APAC, with standout campaigns for Skinny Mobile and Foodstuffs. Her expertise is widely recognized across the industry, evidenced by her re-election as a board member of the Commercial Communications Council.

Meanwhile, PHD New Zealand Managing Director Abby Parkin will be elevated to CEO, effective 1 March, working closely with Grafton to ensure a smooth transition.
