Norman Agatep takes the helm as Chairman and CEO of Grupo Agatep

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Grupo Agatep, one of the leading independent integrated marketing communication agencies in the Philippines, has officially appointed Norman Agatep, APR, as its new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to this appointment, Norman served as Managing Director and President of the agency. With over 30 years of experience in Corporate and Marketing Communication, he brings extensive expertise in Public Relations, Advertising, Digital Marketing, Creative Development, and Strategic Planning to lead the agency into a new era of growth and innovation. Norman also previously led Euro RSCG Manila and Havas Worldwide Manila as Managing Director.

Norman’s career is marked by leadership roles in key industry organizations. He has served as President of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), President of the Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines (DMAP), Chairman of the Ad Standards Council (ASC), and Chairman of the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines (4As), where he was also President from 2021 to 2023. His dedication to the advancement of the industry extends to his current roles as Vice President-External of PRSP, Treasurer of the 4As, trustee of the ASC, and board director of the Global Alliance for PR and Communication Management, as part of the Asia Pacific cluster. Norman is also a lecturer at Ateneo de Manila University, teaching Public Relations and Strategic Planning.

He graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with degrees in Management and Communication.

Assuming the position of Managing Director is Michelle Agatep-Bayhon, MPA. She is a seasoned PR and communication professional with over two decades of experience, specializing in reputation management, corporate communication, and integrated marketing strategies. Michelle began her career at the agency in 2001, laying the foundation for her expertise and dedication to the field. Before being appointed Managing Director, she held the position of Accounts and Client Servicing Director of Grupo Agatep. Michelle previously served as Board Secretary of PRSP, where she played a key role in increasing the organization’s members while managing its General Membership Meetings, which also served as learning sessions for PR professionals. Her academic background includes a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines-Diliman and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts from Lyceum of the Philippines University, where she graduated Cum Laude.

Michelle’s appointment marks a significant step in the agency’s ongoing efforts to enhance client relationships and drive strategic initiatives that elevate brand communication.
