People: Angie Tijam-Tohid joins Havas Ortega as Executive Creative Director

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Multi-awarded Angie Tijam-Tohid recently joined the Havas Ortega Group as its new Executive Creative Director.

Tijam-Tohid’s appointment was announced by Havas Ortega Chairman and CEO Jos Ortega. She will be reporting to Ortega as part of the senior management team. Tijam-Tohid will be responsible for driving the agency’s creative philosophy and creating meaningful brands for the Havas Village clients in media, digital, social commerce, CRM, public relations, branding, healthcare, and sustainability.

She was a radio DJ and newscaster for some of Metro Manila’s most popular FM stations before joining advertising. Her two-decade journey in the industry has taken her to Ogilvy and TBWA\SMP in the Philippines, and Grey Group in Malaysia. Prior to her new post, she led the digital creative group at Ace Saatchi & Saatchi Manila as Creative Director and Head of Content.

Tijam-Tohid has won more than 60 metals and distinctions from international and local award shows for creativity and effectiveness. She has also been a jury member at Cannes Lions and Spikes Asia. This year, she is on the D&AD Awards Jury. She was the Creative Panel Head in the 4As 23rd Philippine Agency of the Year Management Committee, and previously served as a Director in the Creative Guild Board.

The appointment of Tijam-Tohid as Executive Creative Director further strengthens Havas Ortega’s leadership team as she joins previous appointees Jay Lim as COO of Havas Media Group, Mel Panabi as Business Director of Red Havas, and Apple Galvez-Castillo as Business Director of Havas Market.
