MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Globe’s subsidiary, Asticom Technology Inc. (ASTI) has tapped Melissa Tecson as general manager of its information technology and business services outsourcing arm effective October 2021. The young and inspiring leader is expected to steer Asti Business Services Inc. (ABSI) to become the top shared services provider in the Philippines and Asia by 2029.
ABSI provides enterprises with Above and Beyond Service Innovation with end-to-end solutions for Human Resources, Administrative, Finance, and IT functions. It offers Managed Services such as Business Services Outsourcing (BSO) and Information Technology (IT) as well as Digital Platform Services like Customer Experience (CE) and Employee Engagement (EE).
Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, President and CEO of Asticom Group of Companies, said Melissa would spearhead ABSI’s vision to lead in the country and the region by 2029. She brings in a wealth of leadership experience in providing business-to-business IT services across the globe.

Among the many accomplishments of this De La Salle University Engineering graduate are rooted in leading business operations and developing local teams serving global clients across key industries such as manufacturing, IT, government, aviation, and financial services. Her years of client delivery extend across Emerging Technologies, Custom Solutions, and Technology Consulting.
“Melissa is driven by her personal mission to uplift Filipino talents and help Filipinos establish an international reputation in the IT and Business Services Outsourcing industry. She has helped clients reduce costs by optimizing their IT processes while advising startups on market entry strategies, growth, and implementation,” Castillo-Reyes added.
After completing her postgraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University, Melissa returned and stayed in the Philippines. Her faith and pride in local talent have been her motivations in pursuing a career that allowed her to help Filipinos establish a positive reputation in the IT industry.
