People: CNBC appoints Arnaldo Smet as Director of Marketing & Communications

LONDON, UK — CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, today announced that Arnaldo Smet has been appointed as Director of Communications & Marketing for CNBC International. In this role, based in London, he will lead the communications and marketing team internationally and assume responsibility for the management of public relations, internal communications, marketing strategy, brand partnerships, and special events in global markets outside of the United States. He will report to John Casey, President & Managing Director of CNBC International, and will be part of his leadership team.

Arnaldo Smet

Arnaldo has a diverse career in the Film, TV & Media industry. He joins from eOne where he served as Vice President Marketing EMEA and led the development and delivery of integrated marketing strategies and brand campaigns for the Hasbro entertainment franchises, working across all content streams and consumer products. Prior to this, Smet spent nearly eight years at WarnerMedia where he headed up consumer, affiliate and trade marketing communications for the Turner channel portfolio, original TV productions and OTT services in Central and Eastern Europe.
