MANILA, PHILIPPINES — DDB PHL, a multi-awarded creative agency of DDB Group Philippines, started the year in a bullish note with the promotion of its Executive Creative Director (ECD) Paolo Arevalo to Managing Partner.
Arevalo has a solid track record in directing award-winning campaigns as DDB PHL’s head of creatives for more than eight years, overseeing brands like Modess, Carefree, and Clean & Clear for Johnson & Johnson, the Johnson’s Baby line, fast food chain Mang Inasal, EastWest Bank, and travel app Traveloka, among others. In recent years, his work has expanded to include digital campaigns for many of the brands he’s handling.
Intensely involved in the strategy formulation side of the business, Arevalo is a firm believer in research, testing, and FGDs (focused group discussions), knowing that the insights and learnings from these will help further sharpen any creative work.
As DDB PHL’s Managing Partner, Arevalo shall oversee the agency’s operations and lead its management committee, together with DDB PHL Business Unit Director Diane Welsh-Capile, in making decisions and creating policies that will help the agency achieve even greater success for its people and its clients. He shall also continue to help manage the total creative output for DDB PHL’s client brands.
Arevalo said that this 2022, DDB PHL shall steadily aim at being the best multi-disciplinary partner for its clients – one that is agile and able to seamlessly integrate digital and shopper marketing to address all the latter’s needs and issues.

We will continue to leverage the latest research, insighting, strategy, and scientifically-proven methodologies to consistently provide innovative end-to-end solutions for any creative business communication challenges our clients may have,” said Arevalo.
Notably, in December last year, DDB PHL just won the much-coveted “Agency of the Year” title at the prestigious Johnson & Johnson Ripple 2021 Awards, and has been constantly bagging multiple metals in the advertising industry’s major award-giving bodies like the Araw Values Advertising Awards and PANAta Awards.
