SHANGHAI, CHINA — Essence, a global data and measurement-driven media agency that is part of GroupM, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Zhu as Vice President, Investment, in China. Reporting to Essence’s CEO, China, Benjamin Wei, in this new position, she will be responsible for media investment and innovation, helping the agency’s clients to achieve long-term brand and business growth.
Zhu brings with her a wealth of experience in media innovation, client development, and team leadership. Most recently at IPG Mediabrands, she played a key role in business development and established Rapport as its Managing Director in mainland China and Hong Kong. Previously serving as General Manager at GroupM’s Kinetic, she was responsible for media innovation and integrated marketing solutions. She started her career in account management at Zenith.
