Starcom MediaVest Group hires Rayan Karaky digital chief

ASIA-PACIFIC, MAY 23, 2013 – Starcom MediaVest Group has announced that it has appointed Rayan Karaky as Chief Digital Officer, MENA and Emerging Markets. Karaky will continue to work out of Dubai and will also continue to report to John Antoniades, CEO, MENA, as well as Matt Blackborn, President, Emerging Markets.

In his new role, Karaky will work to boost digital growth, integration, competency and innovation within the SMG Global Network, specifically across SMG’s Emerging Markets. He will champion the SMG Human Experience Vision, and will work towards a goal of deriving 50 percent of revenue in Emerging Markets from digital, Data & Analytics, and content. 
 
Karaky will spearhead digital adoption and growth in these markets by developing structured plans for digital and will deploy SMG’s suite of products such as Audience on Demand, ECHO and Pathfinder. In order to boost the development and implementation of new digital media models, partnerships, skill sets, revenue streams, services and platforms in the Emerging Markets, he will work closely with SMG’s President, Digital, Data and Analytics, Lisa Weinstein.
 
Karaky expressed his gratitude to Matt Blackborn for the opportunity to use his expertise to adopt new capabilities and drive integration across a wider area.
