People: IPG Executives Craig Lennon and Mike Cooper departs for Miroma

LONDON, UK – Marc Boyan, founder and CEO of The Miroma Group, has made a swoop for two of IPG’s most senior executives to spearhead commercial and OOH operations at the company. 

Craig Lennon, IPG Mediabrands International Managing Director of Commercial Operations, has been appointed Miroma’s first Global Chief Commercial Officer; while Mike Cooper, President & CEO  of IPG’s specialist out-of-home company Rapport Worldwide, will become Global Managing Director  Out Of Home Operations. Reporting to Marc Boyan, Lennon and Cooper will work closely with The  Miroma Group, as well as Miroma Ventures and reach4entertainment where Marc Boyan also serves  as CEO alongside board members Sir David Michels and Lord Michael Grade. 

A recognised industry leader, Lennon was at Mediacom for 18 years, rising to Chief Commercial &  Operations Officer for EMEA before joining the exec at IPG Mediabrands as International Managing  Director of Commercial Operations in 2018. Utilising his unique skills, experience and knowledge, in  the new role he will lead commercial strategy across Miroma’s global client base and diverse  interests in marketing, entertainment, technology and leisure.

Former BskyB and IPM exec Mike Cooper, joined IPG in 2013 to run Rapport in the US, before rolling  it out globally in 2015 when he was appointed Global CEO & President. Under his leadership, the IPG  Mediabrands outdoor media planning and buying agency grew to control close to $1bn of media  spend. At Miroma and its related entities, he will lead OOH operations globally, focusing on  supporting and expanding the client offering, scoping technology as it relates to the sector as well as  assessing relevant investment opportunities. 

Cooper added: “I’ve been a fan of Marc and Miroma for years. They have a truly entrepreneurial  spirit, huge ambition and the talent to bring it to reality. I’m beyond excited to be a part of the  leadership team and work with divisions across the whole group globally.”
