People: Mediabrands announce executive promotions across Hong Kong and Taiwan

SINGAPORE — Mediabrands, the media and marketing solutions division of Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG), has today announced three executive leadership promotions in line with growth plans for the Greater China agency network.

Joanne Tong has been appointed to the position of Managing Director Hong Kong, Penny Chow has been appointed to the position of Managing Director Taiwan, and Man Leung has been appointed to the position of Head of Reprise and Initiative Hong Kong. All three appointments are effective immediately.

Promoted from her prior position as Head of Strategy Mediabrands Hong and Taiwan, Joanne Tong will be charged with the growth leadership of the Mediabrands Hong Kong agency network, drawing upon her 20 years of specialized marketing and advertising industry experience across renowned 4A’s agencies and corporate behemoths.

Adding to her previous remit leading Mediabrands Content Studio (MBCS) Hong Kong and Taiwan, Penny Chow will be extending her role to include Managing Director of the Mediabrands agency network in Taiwan. Responsible for countless award-winning campaigns, in addition to agency and leadership accolades, Chow’s 20-year career in media and advertising has encompassed celebrated collaborations with numerous brand giants including Disney and Coca-Cola.

From his prior role as Head of Business Development Hong Kong and Taiwan, Man Leung has been promoted to a broader leadership role as Head of Reprise and Initiative Hong Kong, where he will utilize his 19+ years of industry experience specializing in building digital infrastructure for data-driven marketing solutions, to drive the transformational, digital and performance media growth across the Reprise and Initiative agencies in the Hong Kong market.

With Joanne Tong and Man Leung based in Hong Kong, Leung will report to Tong, and Tong will report to Melinda Po, CEO Mediabrands Greater China. Penny Chow, based in Taiwan, will also report to Melinda Po.
