SINGAPORE — Ogilvy announced today that Arvind Srivastava has been promoted from Chief Strategy Officer, Ogilvy China, to Chief Strategy Officer for Ogilvy Asia, with immediate effect. Srivastava will take on the role previously held by Benoit Wiesser who will be relocating to Europe to be closer to family.

Srivastava started his career as a CRM planner at OgilvyOne Delhi and has spent nearly 18 years with Ogilvy Asia where he has worked in various strategic planning roles across the markets.
Srivastava moved to Shanghai in 2016 and for the past five years he has helped build a modern strategy offering bringing together Brand, CRM, Commerce, Data, Media connections, and Social strategists. He also led and anchored Ogilvy China’s strategy for global clients such as Nestlé and The Coca-Cola Company and played a key role on large Chinese brands, including AliExpress. Under his leadership Ogilvy has been ranked one of the most effective networks in the Greater China Effies for three of the past five years.
He has led his teams to win at major effectiveness awards including AMEs, Effies, WARC and the IPA of UK. He has served as a regular jury at the APAC Effies and been a speaker at the World Effie Festival.
Srivastava will continue to be based in Shanghai, China.
