People: PRecious Communications announces key regional appointments to strengthen expansion in Southeast Asia across brand communications, content and the startup ecosystem

SINGAPORE — PRecious Communications, a multi-award-winning integrated communications agency combining traditional and digital capabilities, has announced the appointments of key leaders in its regional team, to aid in the growth of the agency in the new normal.

Daniel Tan was recently appointed as Associate Director for PRecious Sparks, PRecious’ practice which supports and advises the startup ecosystem, from early stage to unicorns status on IPO; venture capital (VC) firms; and accelerators. In his role, he counsels a range of startup, VC and accelerator accounts around corporate communications, financial communications and integrated communications initiatives, while lending strategic support to other practices. A former journalist who has written for numerous regional publications, Daniel specialises in media relations and strategic communications across Asia Pacific. He has led both in-market and regional integrated communications initiatives and has previously served as the publicist for the UFC, where he drove communications campaigns in Asia.

In line with PRecious Communications’ thrust to strengthen its integrated communications capabilities and broaden its range of digital communications service offerings, PRecious has recently appointed John Paul Palileo as the agency’s Creative Director. A strategic brand builder and visual storyteller with a solid background in outcome-driven design across markets and more than a decade of experience across various advertising and marketing agencies in Southeast Asia, he has led teams in designing creative solutions and shaping brand personas through visual content. Some of the clients he has worked with include Unilever, WSG, Changi group, OCBC, FrankByOcbc, Chevrolet, FedEx, Visa, WWF to name a few. His projects have received recognition across the region and globally in numerous awards shows such as D&AD, Cannes, One Show, Markies, Adfest, Clio and Spikes.

PRecious Communications has likewise recently appointed Georg Ackermann as its new Content Lead, helming the newly formed content marketing team. ​​Georg has worked for nearly two decades with leading media organisations in Europe and Asia. At Dow Jones, he managed and produced curated newsletters and in-depth media analysis reports for clients in government, political, and sports associations, as well as major companies in a wide range of industries. He contributed data visualisations to the Wall Street Journal. Most recently, he has been a managing editor with KrASIA, covering the startup and tech ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
