People: Women Leadership Awards honors DDB Group PH Culture Chief Anna Chua-Norbert as ‘Asia’s Woman Leader’

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Integrated marketing communications and services network DDB Group Philippines Chief Culture Officer Anna Chua-Norbert was recognized as one of Asia’s Woman Leaders at the Women Leadership Awards recently held at the Pan Pacific, Singapore.

Organized by the World Women Leadership Congress (WWLC), the Women Leadership Awards recognizes the profound role played by women as leaders, executioners, and decision-makers in shaping the future of the region and the nation.

Anna is honored for her innovative leadership as DDB Group Philippines culture chief officer, strategically setting the Culture of Holistic Health at one of the country’s leading integrated marketing communications groups. As DDB’s culture chief, she is also known for advocating women empowerment and fostering workplace gender equality, diversity, and inclusion.

She contributes as well to empowering women through campaigns and projects done by DDB Group’s corporate social responsibility arm DDB Cares and its partner organizations in the non-profit as well as government sectors. She is also active in industry organizations like the 4As Philippines and the Advertising Standards Council where she sits as member of as the organizations’ Boards of Directors.

“Human relationships drive the success of any business and if our choices are dictated by doing right by others, we will likely do well and do good. We don’t have to accept the status quo because things can always be better if we choose to act and believe we can do so. There’s real business to be gained in being kind. At DDB Group Philippines, we do well and we do good,” Anna said in her acceptance speech.

Alongside Anna, another notable Filipina, Saleha P. Sacar, Director IV of the Bureau of Muslim Economic Affairs, was awarded for her contribution to leading the promotion and development of economic livelihood programs and projects through the extension of loans, entrepreneurship, trade, and marketing assistance to the members of Muslim Filipino communities.

Started in 2013, the World Women Leadership Congress hosts its annual Women Leadership Awards to identify and celebrate the outstanding leadership and achievements demonstrated by women leaders that are reflected by the distinct innovations and initiatives brought in by them in various private and public sectors.
