SINGAPORE — Viddsee, the creator platform for short premium content, has announced that Derek Tan, Co-Founder and Chief Business Development Officer, has stepped down from his operational role. He will transition to a non-executive director role on the board.
Established in January 2013 by Derek and Ho Jia Jian, Viddsee has grown over the past decade to become a significant player in molding compelling narratives for both audiences and brands. As a curator of exceptional short films and compelling original content, Viddsee offers a distinguished platform where established storytellers and emerging talents can display their work and connect with a global audience.
Throughout his tenure, Derek has immensely contributed to the company’s growth and success. By focusing on strategic partnerships and business development initiatives, he played a substantial role in expanding Viddsee’s commercial offering, user base and strengthening its position in the industry. To date, Viddsee has amassed over three billion views with its rich repertoire of over 5,000 films. Despite stepping down from his executive role, Derek will continue guiding Viddsee’s future with his strategic guidance as a non-executive director.
The business, under the guidance of Co-founder and CEO, Ho Jia Jian, Senior Vice President of Commercial, Michele Schofield, and Vice President of Studios, Kenny Tan, will continue its journey after the tenure of Derek as the Chief Business Development Officer.
