MANILAadobo magazine, the country’s leading advertising publication, announced today the call for entries for the adobo LIA Young Creative Competition 2018. The top two winners will have a chance to fly to Las Vegas to attend the LIA judging, observe statue deliberations and have various networking opportunities, and participate in the LIA Creative LIAisons Young Creative Program on October 3-6.

For the past five years, adobo magazine provides an unprecedented platform for young creatives to share their unique and diverse perspectives of the community. For this year’s competition, the theme is focused on a gender-related cause or campaign.

THE BRIEF

Sponsor

8 of the top 10 creative agencies in the Philippines are helmed by women in key leadership roles.

But it seems like 8 out of every 10 pieces of advertising still show women in traditional roles: Mothers waiting for their children to come home, wives confidently cooking, and long-haired, fair-skinned young women enthusiastically beckoning at the camera.

THE CHALLENGE

Make the industry realize that authenticity in portraying women is the key to creating true business growth and genuine consumer engagement.

The target market is the industry practitioners — specifically advertising and marketing practitioners — those who have an actual say in crafting images, standards and values in the content we create every day.
