Ace Saatchi & Saatchi and BBDO Guerrero in Media Lions shortlist

MANILA – Ace Saatchi & Saatchi and BBDO Guerrero were included in the Media Lions shortlist, which was released on June 16.

Two campaigns from Ace Saatchi & Saatchi were shortlisted: ‘Family Remeet – Cebuana’ for Cebuana Lhuillier and ‘Zzz Radio – Pampers’ for Procter & Gamble Philippines.

‘Family Remeet’, which brings together family members that have been living separately for years, was awarded Nominated status at the 52nd D&AD Professional Awards, and took home a Grande Lotus at ADFEST 2014.

‘Zzz Radio’ was also shortlisted in the Direct category. In a country where mothers can’t afford white noise machines that can help babies sleep, the agency made use of a frequency no one owned, that aired nothing but static and branded it as Pampers ZZZ 99.1 FM, in order to communicate Pampers’ commitment to giving babies uninterrupted sleep.

BBDO Guerrero’s ‘Liter of Light at Night’ for Pepsico International/My Shelter Foundation was also shortlisted in both Media and Direct. ‘Liter of Light at Night’ is the first solar bottle light to work in the dark, designed by adding locally available, low tech plastic tubing, an LED light strip, standard rechargeable batteries and off-cut solar panels to the existing model.  

A total of 3,127 entries were submitted in the Media category.

In the same category, Australia led the Asia finalists with 17 shortlisted entries.
