A new Executive Creative Director is set to come on board for Ace Saatchi & Saatchi
Jeremy Southern will join the agency in the month of April and succeed Andrew Petch. Prior to joining Saatchi, Southern had been serving as ECD at Leo Burnett Vietnam since 2012. While with Burnett, he worked extensively across all accounts and helped take the agency to three consecutive Campaign Asia Agency of the Year awards in 2013, 2014, and 2015. In addition, Leo Burnett Vietnam also won Campaign Asia Digital Agency of the Year in 2014 and 2015.
Southern has extensive experience in advertising, beginning his career in Australia in 1994. He previously worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, Euro RSCG, Young & Rubicam Adelaide, BBDO Sydney, Saatchi and M&C Saatchi Wellington, BBDO Dubai, and Ogilvy Dubai before joining Leo Burnett’s office in Ho Chi Minh City.
Among the prestigious accounts Southern has worked on are Coke, Pepsi, Mercedes, Emirates, McDonalds, VW, Volvo, and Visa. In the process, he has won numerous international awards including Cannes Lions, D&AD, and One Show.
“I am very excited about the opportunities presented by my upcoming job at Ace Saatchi,” Southern shared. “Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with Filipinos in many different markets and I have found them to be extremely creative, hard working, loyal, and fun. And now finally, I get the chance to work with them in their own country. And I can’t wait to start! The agency has long been noted for doing fresh and innovative creative work, and I look forward to help taking the agency to new heights of success.”
Ace Saatchi & Saatchi COO Mio Chongson said, “We have the momentum from a strong business and consistent creative performance. With Jeremy’s work and leadership credentials, I’m confident he will help take us to the next level.”
“Jeremy is joining us at an exciting time,” Ace Saatchi & Saatchi Chairman Arthur Young, Jr. said. “He will also be bringing a fresh perspective from his experience in different parts of the world.”
Southern follows the impressive run of Petch, who joined Ace Saatchi & Saatchi in 2009. Petch helped the agency achieve five Lions in Cannes 2013, the Grand Lotus Roots Award at Adfest, the Kidlat 2014 and 2012 Agency of the Year, the 4As AOY 2013 Best in Creative, and the Campaign Brief Asia Agency of the Year 2010 as well as recognitions from Clio, Spikes, One Show, D&AD, London International and AWARD. Mr. Young added, “The agency is grateful for Petch’s contributions. As he pursues new opportunities, we wish him all the best.”
