This earned it the overall Agency of the Year accolade, while its multi-awarded ‘Screen-age Love Story’, better known as “Anna Banana” multimedia campaign helped its client PLDT Vice President and Head of PLDT Home Broadband Service, Gary Dujali, nab the Top Marketing Head award and PLDT MyDSL emerge as the Top Advertiser.

Held on June 5 at Palladium, New World Hotel, the event also saw the launch of adobo’s latest issue.

“After months of collecting results and working closely with our rankings partner, PwC Isla Lipana, we’ve determined the top creatives, suits, clients, and of course, agencies based on the awards they’ve won in last year’s shows,” adobo editor-in-chief Angel Guerrero said as she opened the event.

“I’d like to thank PwC, for the very thorough work and their tireless efforts in auditing and tabulating the results of the rankings. I’d also like to thank IMMAP and Creative Guild for endorsing the rankings and supporting us through the process,” she continued.

Before the rankings were revealed, two Lakihan Mo Logo bands performed.

With their humorous lyrics and catchy tunes about industry life, Advertising Band of the Philippines reminded everyone of the ups and downs that come with advertising, from missing a date due to a pitch to looking for openings at other agencies. Obscure 90’s followed with a nostalgic set, which included Pearl Jam, Kula Shaker, and Bush.

Rocky Saldajeno of external auditor PWC Isla Lipana and Amanda Lago of adobo then explained the process behind the rankings. The performance-based rankings tracked the achievements of advertising agencies, creatives, directors and production houses across 10 of the most important local, regional, and global awards shows in 2013. These are: Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Clio, New York Festivals, London International Awards, AdFest, Spikes Asia Festival, Kidlat Awards, and the Boomerang Awards.

The rankings were then announced, revealing the top three in each category:
