TBWAIndia launches Nissan Micra’s ‘Play Hard’

GLOBAL – INDIA, JULY 29, 2013 – Nissan has launched the new Micra. Over the years, the Nissan Micra has a soft image and is not meant for a long-distance drive. This new hatchback has changed from its old cute appearance to a more aggressive one.

Nissan Micra’s ‘Play Hard’ campaign successfully repositioned the car with a more macho, aggressive and sporty outlook from the old one. As shown in its new advertisement where four Nissan Micra were playing a game of tag in the rustic settings of Jaisalmer, it will surely urge people to consider the car.

“There was an inherent need for disruptive thinking and work to attract consumer eyeballs. With the intention of creating a new space for the Nissan Micra, the commercial highlights the outstanding features of the car through an enjoyable narrative." said Shiv Sethuraman, TBWA\India CEO.

The new Micra is loaded with new features including the game-changing Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) which is superior to normal automatic transmissions in terms of fuel efficiency. It has new bonnet, contoured front bumper, new fenders and new headlamps. There are surrounds for the fog lamps and a liberal amount of chrome has been applied to the lower grille. This also includes LED taillights that are offered in a hatchback for the first time. It features spacious interiors and revised the dashboard design too.

The significant exterior and interior changes to Micra are based on the customer’s desire for a more aggressive and highly maneuverable hatchback with state of art features for today’s driving needs combined with infotainment necessities,” said Nitish Tipnis, sales and marketing director at Hover Automotive India (NSC Nissan India).

The new Nissan Micra’s aggressive styling and interiors will now surely be included in the list of male potential buyers and will not be overlooked.
