MANILA — For the past nine years, adobo magazine, the word on Creativity – has served as the Philippines’ premier news source for all things advertising, marketing, branding and design. Winner of publishing and communication skills awards here and abroad, adobo has been an integral part of the industry it serves.
Launched to much fanfare on March 27 at Green Sun Makati, the latest issue is the much-awaited result of adobo’s most ambitious rebranding effort to date, ‘Project Refresh’. Completely redesigned from the ground up, adobo is proud to present the brand new look, feel, and content of its core print publication. Boasting a stunning piece of hand-made papercraft artwork by TBWA\SMP associate creative director John Ed de Vera on the cover, the issue is anchored by adobo’s inaugural list of Women of Influence, highlighting some of the amazing ladies making headway both locally and internationally.
Also featured is adobo’s trademark in-depth festival coverage, with a ground-level look at the recently-concluded 2015 Kidlat Awards along with agency profiles on Kinetic Worldwide and ASPAC, as well as an exclusive interview with TBWA’s Edmund Choe, and brand new takes on the classic adobo sections.
As a taste of upcoming digital and branded content yet to come, the March-April issue is an exciting volume in the ongoing evolution of the state of Philippine creativity, and a tantalizing teaser of what awaits readers in adobo’s tenth exciting year.
