MANILA, PHILIPPINES — For Filipinos, February is more than just the month of love; it’s the biggest art season in the country with various festivals simultaneously happening around the Metro. The newest addition to the list, ALT Philippines, makes its debut today at the SMX Convention Center in SM Aura.

There isn’t a bolder statement in 2020 than breaking away from the premiere local art fair to open their very own. Ten galleries: ArtInformal, Blanc, The Drawing Room, Finale Art File, Galleria Duemila, Mo_Space, Underground, Vinyl On Vinyl, West Gallery, and 1335 Mabini, came together and collaborated to ‘reframe the art show’, bringing in over 150 artists in an immersive, exploratory art project.

Whether you’re an art enthusiast, or someone just looking for a Valentines date weekend, ALT Philippines is definitely your door into the latest in the local contemporary art scene.

The fair has a refreshing layout – opting for a beehive-like formation, which allows viewers enough space to breathe between artworks, at the same time immerse themselves in the individual booths without getting distracted with the neighboring galleries.

ALT Philippines 2020 runs from February 14 to 16, at SMX Convention Center, 3/F SM Aura Premier, Bonifacio Global City. Tickets prices are 250 php and available through SM Tickets or at the on-site ticket booth.
