MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Cultural Center of the Philippines Visual Arts and Museum Division (CCP VAMD) has launched its new online program that now allows it to connect and serve the artistic community.
This was announced by the CCP VAMD on the occasion of International Museum Day (IMD) 2020 on May 18.
Alongside its regular email bulletins, CCP VAMD will amplify its online presence through different social media channels to reach regular gallery-goers and others that are eager to learn about the possibilities within the visual arts in this time of COVID-19.
In line with the IMD theme of “Museums for Equality: Diversity and Inclusion,” the CCP VAMD reiterated its efforts for inclusivity through the broad and generally unrestricted arena of social media.
CCP VAMD Head Rica Estrada said: “As in our annual exhibition program, our online activities will celebrate diversity by aiming to shed light on the marginalized, and to look for possibilities in open collaboration through online programs that will call for sharing of thoughts, ideas, and engagement from the public. This International Museum Day 2020, screens won’t keep us apart. We promise to engage with you through our online initiatives that will focus on community engagement, sharing of content, and learning through arts and culture.“
