Art director who designed taxi driver’s peanut butter business wins at aDAA 2016

MANILA – Troy Sitosta, Art Director at Shao Long Bald who captured the hearts of netizens and fellow designers after he designed a taxi driver’s humble peanut butter business for free, also captured the attention of the adobo Design Awards Asia 2016 esteemed jury.

The jury was headed by prestigious D&AD Awards President Andy Sandoz along with renowned design experts including Jowee Alviar, Co-Founder, Team Manila; AJ Dimarucot, Graphic Designer; Dan Matutina, Designer and Illustrator, Plus 63 Design; Ric Gindap, Creative Director, Design for Tomorrow; Melvin Mangada, Chief Creative Head, TBWA\SMP; Patrick Cabral, Type Artist; Leigh Reyes, President and CCO, MullenLowe Philippines; Arnold Arre, Comic Artist & Illustrator, Tala Comic Publishing; Benjamin Marasigan, Chairperson, Animation Program, DLS-CSB; and Electrolychee founders Bru Sim-Nada and Marcus Nada.

Sitosta’s entry, a packaging design for beverage brand, FICO, just earned a Bronze award for the Main Open Category.
