MANILA PHILIPPINES—The best of the best from the country’s vibrant art scene is gathering under one roof this weekend, and we were lucky enough to see it before its public opening.
Walking through the selections and exploring the four floors of The Link dedicated to showcase the different sides of Filipino and international art is an exhilarating experience, and we highly recommend to go and see each one. But if you’re pressed for time and need to know the galleries you definitely have to visit, here’s our #adobopicks for you:
BPI presents David Medalla
Ryan Villamael’s ‘Behold a City’
Oca-Villamiel’s ‘Cheap Medicine’
The Ray Albano Graphic Design System
MM Yu’s ‘Subject/ Object’
Olivia D’aboville ‘Everything, Everywhere, Everyone’
Team Lab’s ‘Reversible Rotation – Continuous, Black in White’
——
These artists are just a select few of our favorites, but we highly recommend you go and see each amazing work at this year’s Art Fair. Make sure to drop by this weekend from Feb 22-Feb 24 to see the local art scene for what it really is — a thriving community of artists whose creations both mirror and provide a deeper look into society.
Art Fair Philippines will run from February 22 to 24, 10am to 9pm The Link, Ayala Center, Makati City. For more information click here.
