MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Following the announcement that the 16th edition of Virgin Labfest was going online on the Facebook page and Youtube channel of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the Artist Training Division of the Cultural Center of the Philippines is announcing the fellows accepted to the Virgin Labfest 2020 Writing Fellowship Program.
Congratulations to the 2020 writing fellows: Cecilia de Jesus, Hannah Dorol, Ansherina Jazul, Bienangela Mapagu, Franchesca Palattao, and Jhudiel Sosa.
The Virgin Labfest 2020 Writing Fellowship Program will take place online on June 16-28; it is a two-week mentorship program on the study and practice of dramatic writing for the stage.
The Fellowship Program is part of the CCP’s desire to train young aspiring playwrights. It consists of lectures, script critiquing, writing sessions, and interactions with known playwrights, directors, and selected actors.
Due to the limitations of online mentoring, only six applications, instead of the usual 10, could be accommodated this year. The fellows accepted to the Program will be mentored online by Glenn Sevilla Mas, a multi-award-winning playwright.
For the full program, including other online events and discussions, visit the CCP website and the Virgin Labfest FB page
