Aspac-DAN and Ginebra San Miguel strike silver for Ginebra Ako Labels

At the recently concluded Kidlat Awards 2018, Aspac-DAN received a Kidlat Silver in Design for Ginebra San Miguel’s Ginebra Ako Labels for the Courageous – limited edition bottle designs that reimagine the iconic Ginebra San Miguel label into a series of labels featuring men who display everyday acts of courage in their line of work. 
 
Originally designed by no less than the country’s first National Artist for Painting Fernando Amorsolo, each artwork was digitally painted using custom brushes to come as close as possible to the texture and colors of the original label. Each label also featured unique messages that saluted the courage of each worker found on each respective label.
 
These bottles were given to select individuals who expressed unparalleled passion and courage in their industries. The labels were later adapted into a digital material and received massive attention online. Not only did Ginebra San Miguel make Filipinos proud of what they drink, but also made them proud of who they are. 
 
The Ginebra Ako label designs form an essential part of the brand’s ‘Tagay’ campaign which was ignited by a music video released earlier this year that was dedicated to all Filipinos who tirelessly commit their everyday lives to their family and the nation.
