MANILA – Globe Telecoms has handed its myBusiness agency of record business to indie agency Aspac without a pitch.

Globe myBusiness is targeted at business owners of small and medium enterprises.

Since taking up the assignment, Aspac has created ‘JR’ and ‘Santi’ campaigns about two inspiring small business entrepreneurs, seeded with the hashtag #InspiringSuccess.

In the first spot, JR Dela Paz of Size Matters Sausage Burgers talks about his late father inspiring his entrepreneurial ambitions. Further content has been seeded on Facebook, including photos of Dela Paz’s family and his burgers.

‘Santi’ tells the story of Santiago Lim of Strawberry Foods, who lost his parents at a young age, went on to become a scholar and saw business as a way to help others. His company grew from 12 to 340 staff.

The work is in line with a content assignment that first brought Aspac and Globe together early in 2013.

Aspac had created five, two-minute online shorts for Globe’s corporate communications group showing the brand being there at the worst of times for its customers.

One of the spots, ‘Downpour Of Love’ told the tale of a highly publicized wedding in which Globe helped a young couple keep their wedding on track despite a devastating storm that flooded huge swathes of the country.

“They said they liked our work, how we worked and how we think,” said Angel Antonio, Aspac’s president and chief operations officer said of the advertiser awarding the business without a pitch.
