BBDO Guerrero, Starcom Mediavest top R3 business rankings in PH

MANILA – BBDO Guerrero and Starcom Mediavest has topped the latest business rankings from independent marketing consultancy R3 listing the top 10 wins scored by media and creative agencies in the Philippines for July.

Grey Group, Dentsu, and DDB have scored big wins, but BBDO Guerrero takes the lion’s share by claiming seven spots on the poll.

This year’s 4As Agency of the Year winner will be busy working on projects for Globe Telecoms, the Department of Transportation & Communications, Automated Fare Collection Services, Global Telehealth, Pru Life UK, and the creative duties of Max’s Group brands Yellow Cab and Pancake House.

Starcom Mediavest leads the media rankings with four wins. Crowned as the 4As Media Agency of the Year, the agency will be working on the Digital and OOH planning business of Smart Telecom, Unilab, Liwayway-owned snack brand Oishi and Coca-Cola.

Touch BPN, which underwent a major reorganization last June, will also work for Smart Telecom while Zenith Optimedia has Globe Telecom.

Dentsu Media retains the Department of Tourism account while Havas Media has secured Kopiko. Carat secured Abbott Pharmaceuticals while Monde Nissin picked MediaCom for media duties.

Based on the table, however, most top creative and media wins in the Philippines took place between January and June.

Top 10 wins for the Asia-Pacific region

No one dominated the regional creative rankings, equally spread between BBDO, McCann Worldgroup, Lowe, Dentsu, and Publicis. TBWA and Y&R secured with accounts each.

Starcom Mediavest managed to also lead the regional media rankings with four business wins comprised of BMW China, Dabur India, PT Tempo Scan Pacific in Indonesia, and Oppo Mobile for India.

Mindshare won big too with three wins all from China, namely JunLeBao, Handan Pharmaceutical and Qizheng Tibetan Medicine.
