PATTAYA – BBDO Guerrero bagged a Grande award for Effective Lotus for its campaign, ‘Labels against women’ for Procter and Gamble in this year’s ADFEST.
The campaign, which has already won numerous awards and has even gone viral in and out of the Philippines, is about the prejudice and biases that women continue to experience in a society that is still mainly patriarchal.
”It certainly goes to prove that the most awarded work in the world is also the work that exceeds expectations and exceeds objectives,” said Charles Cadell, Effective Lotus Jury President.
Meanwhile, ’JasMINE’, a campaign by Ace Saatchi & Saatchi for TV5 scored a silver for Promo Lotus. JasMINE is a romantic-drama suspense series that went across digital platforms with a second-screen feature that allows the audience to follow the series on-air and online.
Lowe Philippines took a bronze for their award-winning campaign, ‘SM Eco Bags’ for SM Supermalls. This campaign focused on the dangers of the frequent use of plastic bags especially in shopping malls. So, they came up with the idea of creating eco-friendly bags that are made entirely from recycled plastic bags, covers and wrappers with designs depicting scenarios in the Philippines during typhoons and encouraged shoppers to use these as their shopping bags.
TBWA\Mangada Santiago Puno was also given a bronze for their campaign ‘Hana: Clean River Soon’ for Media Lotus. It showcased a floating billboard, a first of its kind in the Philippines that helped clean one of the most polluted rivers in the country.
