BBDO, TBWA score Best In, Golds at Boomerang

MANILA – Omnicom shops – BBDO Guerrero and TBWA \Santiago Mangada Puno – took ‘Best In’ and Gold prizes at this year’s Boomerang Awards.

BBDO scooped the Best in Strategic Excellence for viral sensation ‘#Whipit’ to demolish gender stereotypes for Pantene, a campaign that won one of two Golds for the agency. ‘Unselfie’ to help raise funds for victims of last year’s Typhoon Yolanda picked up the agency’s second Gold.

TBWA\SMP scored the Best In Creative Excellence prize for Oishi Prawn Crackers’ ‘Unskippables’, which also won Gold.

The award for Outstanding Business Results went to Maxus Philippines’ PLDT MyBro ‘It’s Time’ campaign, which turned banner advertising on its head based, using programmatic audience buying to serve up dynamic creative at different times of the day to remind time-pressed viewers of content they were missing. The work also won a Silver.

The fourth Boomerang Gold was awarded to ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation Pasahero ‘Passenger Safety Mobile App’.
