MANILA – The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and OLX made a clean sweep during the inaugural Share of Voice Awards (SOVA) of AllFamous Digital, held at the New World Hotel, Makati, Thursday.
Both companies brought home all three awards, namely the Most Positively Talked About Award, Best in Customer Care Award and the Share of Voice Award, which represents the top prize.
Unique from most awards who invite experts to form a jury, SOVA uses Salesforce Radian6, a social listening and analytics tool, to determine the Philippines’ top performing brands based on the actual public sentiment they are getting online.
Rather than judge individual entries, the awarding body listened to online chatter across 11 industries between 1st January 2014 to 31st December 2014, essentially letting the public vote for their beloved brands without them even knowing it.
This method of judging brands is a world first, Scott Doughty, regional VP of Salesforce Asia, shared with adobo.
“Like anything, it takes somebody to be disruptive. We had the technology for awhile but it took AllFamous to take the leap, turn it into an awards night where we take scientific data from Radian6 to determine who’s really leading customer service in different categories.”
With dozens of awards under her company’s belt, Virginia Brocka, AVP Head of Digital Marketing at BPI, said that SOVA was “refreshing,” allowing the people whom they serve to be the ultimate jury of their work.
“I value this award because it’s purely quantitative, with minimal subjective biases, and is a true measure of what our customers say and feel about BPI. In determining this award, only one voice counts, and it’s that of our customers, which is of utmost importance to us.”
“Ultimately, the BPI customer is our jury, and with this award, we know that BPI’s social initiatives are validated by the millions of customers who made this award possible.”
Pauline Pangan, Founder and CEO of AllFamous Digital, shared that her team will work on tripling the categories for SOVA 2016 and is currently busy on bringing SOVA in other Asian markets such as Singapore and Hong Kong.
“We wanted to give brands the recognition they deserve. We want to award the effort of companies who put their customers where they belong – at the center of their world”
