Brand & Business: ABS-CBN Pays Tribute to Modern Day Heroes in Powerful Music Video for “Pag-Ibig and Hihilom Sa Daigdig”

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Heroes rise in the most trying of times—this was proven by the global response to the pandemic that is COVID-19.

To recognize the valiant efforts of these modern-day heroes and rally them in this battle, ABS-CBN launches its music video tribute “Pag-ibig Ang Hihilom Sa Daigdig,” on TV Patrol tonight, April 3.

It illustrates how love propels Filipinos to actions that help overcome any adversity, even one the scale of this massive health crisis.

The music video features touching scenes of health workers and frontliners who tirelessly care for the sick despite the risk to their own health and ordinary citizens who shell out not just money but their time and effort to protect our health workers and the vulnerable.

It also shows officials stepping up to go above their duty, people from all over the world giving words of encouragement, and people turning to prayer and faith in this uncertain time to send out a message of hope that humanity can win against COVID-19.

The song’s lyrics were written by Des Parawan, Robert Labayen, and Lloyd Corpuz, who also headed music production with co-composer Raizo Chabeldin. Its vocals are by Raizo Chabeldin and Biv de Vera. Music video production was headed by Faith Zambrano-Pascual, with lead producer Happy Adiova. Core group producers are Christian Abuel, Des Parawan, Love De Leon, and Nathan Perez. Lead editor is Celina Hidalgo while Karlo Victoriano served as motion graphics lead with Joseph Linga as motion graphics artist.

Paolo Ramos directed the music video with Jimmy Porca serving as technical head. Con Salire and Mark Gonzales are post production heads while Meryl Pacis and Alfie Landayan are motion graphics heads. Colorist is Raphael Dela Rea. Researchers include Gem San Pedro, LA Sibug, Ange dela Cruz, and Kenneth Luna.

Aye Dungo and Tess Mendoza were in charge of budget and administration were while Sheryl Ramos led the online and other platforms launch.

Patrick de Leon and Johnny delos, Santos served as creative advisers.
