Brand & Business: DDB Group Philippines Bags 15 Metals at the 55th Anvil Awards

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Integrated marketing communication conglomerate DDB Group Philippines hauled a total of 15 metals at the recently concluded 55th Anvil Awards for campaigns and projects the Group has undertaken with its client partners.

Ripple 8, DDB Group’s integrated PR solutions company, won a total of nine awards – seven of which are for Jollibee campaigns, while two are for Meralco entries. The Gold-winning Jollibee campaigns are “Jollibee’s Best Twirl Ever with Catriona Gray” and the “Rise Above ‘Everyday Peligro’ with JolliSavers campaigns”; while awarded Silver are “Regine and Nate’s Pinaka-Sweet Moments with Jolly Spaghetti”; “Jolly Super Meals–All Your Jollibee Favorites in One!”; “Para Sa Pamilya, Only the Best-Tasting Chickenjoy”; “Jollibee Yumburger–A Beefy Langhap-Sarap Experience with Every Bite”; and “Cheesy Classic Jolly Hotdog–Todo Toppings, Todo Sarap!”

Winning a Silver award each are the “Meralco Advisory: Innovating to Empower the Consumer” and the “Meralco Advisory: Managing rate movements through innovative communication.”

DDB PHL, one of the Group’s award-winning creative agencies, meanwhile, won three Silver for the following: the highly successful Mang Inasal National Halo-Halo Sarap Day 2019, as well as for the Mang Inasal’s 2019 Buwan ng Wika “Inlababo” and Mang Inasal 2019 Gawad Pilipinoy ‘Session Groceries’ viral Online Videos.

The Group’s digital communication agency, Tribal Worldwide Philippines, bagged Gold for the Department of Tourism (DOT)’s new marketing website, philippines.travel, a vibrant, story-driven site that complements DOT’s refreshed “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign. Notably, DDB Group’s relatively new DOT portfolio includes the government agency’s sustainable and responsible tourism campaign handled by DDB MNL, as well as some of DOT’s international tourism campaigns.

A creative think-tank providing branded entertainment solutions, DDB Group’s Bent & Buzz won a Silver for “Find Her,” the first digital series of Smart Communications, which is an endearing romantic comedy about finding love in the time of dating apps.

Moreover, DDB Group Philippines won a Silver for Filipino Heritage Festival 2019, which represents consolidated private sector efforts in promoting the nation’s cultural patrimony made possible by Filipino Heritage Festival, Inc. partners like DDB Group.
