MANILA, PHILIPPINES — McDonald’s Philippines join forces with mobile ride-hailing platform Grab through its GrabFood feature. Through the partnership, GrabFood users can expect McDo meals starting February 19.

GrabFood will bring McDelivery to a whole new level with an extended pool of delivery partners, access to its wide community of users, and more online storefronts.

Both companies share the same mission of adapting technology into the Filipinos’ daily needs. This explains why the platform is McDo PH’s first and only choice for end-to-end food delivery app partnership with a third-party delivery service.

Margot Torres, Managing Director of McDo PH, is confident about the partnership between the two companies since it will boost the convenience of ordering food online. “McDonald’s puts its trust on GrabFood as its partner to provide a friction-less experience for our customers, leveraging digital solutions to provide modern-day convenience,” she explained.

“With food delivery as one of our most important business focuses for 2019, we will continue to bring innovative and rewarding food experiences to our consumers while helping our partners reap the benefits of participating in the Philippines’ digital economy,” Brian Cu, President of Grab Philippines stated.

McDo PH continues to develop their operations in service of customers with “don’t have time” lifestyles. Another innovation is the opening of its NXTGEN stores last October 2018 with self-service counters—an upgrade to the usual fast food dining experience.

GrabFood’s Widening Reach

GrabFood and McDo PH are eagerly looking forward to their next steps as partners. To celebrate their joint operations, a welcome McCelebration is held for its top delivery partners.

“At GrabFood, we are committed to empowering businesses and micro-entrepreneurs, and helping them embrace new methods to grow their business … while restaurant partners can expect incremental orders and revenue on top of the in-store visits they receive, we have effectively become the trusted platform of our consumers and partners, making us the #1 food delivery app in the Philippines,” EJ Dela Vega, Head of GrabHood Philippines, said.

Since its beta launch in June 2018, GrabFood continues to rise in the market after its 12x increase of completed orders in less than a year.
