MANILA, PHILIPPINES– Media research company Kantar Media Philippines has announced that it will be closing down its TV audience measurement and advertising service services in the Philippines by October 2020.

Jay Bautista, Managing Director of Kantar Media Philippines shared with adobo magazine, “I personally I just want to thank everyone in our industry for their support of the Media division of Kantar over the last 12 years. It has been an honor to partner with Media owners, Media Agencies and Advertisers in providing insights and information about the Filipino’s media habits and advertising trends.”

“It is unfortunate, that we have become collateral damage as a result of the non-renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise. I pray that all my colleagues and their families will find strength and faith to face the coming months and years. I pray that our industry and our country will be able to recover from the ill effects of this pandemic and economic downturn,” he added.

Kantar will continue to operate its other divisions like Insights ( Consumer Research), World Panel (Household Product Purchase Research), and as a hub, Global Data Processing.

Kantar’s media division has been active for the past 12 years and will officially close down on September 30, 2020.
