MANILA, PHILIPPINES – To comfort and reassure their customers, partners, and employees, McDonald’s Philippines President and CEO Kenneth Yang took to Facebook to let everyone know that they aren’t taking concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic lightly. In his statement, he shares some of their enhanced safety and cleanliness protocols.

In raising safety and cleanliness, McDonald’s Philippines has begun providing hand sanitizers to all their customers easily accessible in every branch. They have also increased the frequency of kitchen and customer area sanitation, as well as deep cleaning procedures. These areas include both back-end and front-end as well as dining areas, play places, and self-ordering kiosks.

Employees are also required to wash hands every thirty minutes, as well as conduct regular temperature checks. Any personnel, including Grab Food and Food Panda delivery service providers, who show symptoms are also encouraged to seek medical attention.
