MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Two Metro Retail Stores in the Visayas region, namely, Metro Colon and Metro Ayala Center Cebu, recently received the Gold Bagwis Seal of Excellence conferred by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The award is the highest category that recognizes both establishments’ compliance with the DTI’s fair trade laws, efficiency in customer relations and operational management, excellence in social commitment and responsibility, and adherence to quality management standards.
Both stores received the certifications for the Supermarket, Department Store, and Appliance Center categories.
Metro Colon and Metro Ayala Center Cebu are the latest addition to the roster of Metro Retail Stores that have already received the DTI Gold Bagwis Seal. Last year, seven stores — Metro Mandaue, Super Metro Lapu-Lapu, Super Metro Bogo, Metro Fresh & Easy Mactan, Metro Carmen, Metro Banilad, and Super Metro Carcar – received the prestigious citation. Since 2018, the company has received a total of 25 Gold Bagwis awards.
