MANILA, PHILIPPINES — On the afternoon of June 2, 2021, Taguig City officials and SM Aura Premier executives install Safety Seal stickers at mall entrance. In the city of Taguig, SM Aura Premier is the first mall to pass safety checks and be awarded its local government’s certification that the establishment adheres and enforces the necessary measures and protocols to keep the public and its employees safe from the COVID-19.
In strengthening the cooperation and commitment of both parties in ensuring the safety of Taguigeños and the overall general public, Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano and Fort Bonifacio Barangay Captain Jorge Bocobo join SM Supermalls’ President Steven Tan and SM Aura Premier’s AVP for Operations Bernice Baculi. After installing the Safety Seal at the mall entrance, a short visit to a few restaurants inside the mall was made. These particular restaurants are among the more than 80% of stores and restaurants at SM Aura Premier to be health-and-safety-protocol-compliant and individually bear the Safety Seal. Majority of the mall’s stores and restaurants have been encouraged and have secured their Safety Seals.
Guaranteeing that every mall-visitor is entering a COVID-19-safe establishment, SM Aura Premier goes beyond encouraging its stores and restaurants to be compliant together. Early on in the movement to create safe spaces for the public, management has deployed measures such as temperature scanners, QR code contact tracing at every entrance, and new outdoor dining areas. The mall’s latest initiative for increased health and safety protection is a sanitizing robot called Santi. This self-moving robot can be seen patrolling major hallways and disinfecting them with an FDA-approved disinfectant mist that is 100% hypoallergenic, non-toxic, and non-corrosive.
