MANILA, PHILIPPINES — For Philippine Independence Day, We The Pvblic, a social news and entertainment website, went on a freedom sale with a statement mask to celebrate freedom of the press and of expression.
In partnership with MullenLowe Philippines, the team produced the face mask, with a design that resembles two hands that cover the mouth. The masks offer protection against airborne diseases and prevent the spread of respiratory droplets.
Priced at P300, the masks can be bought online through We The Pvblic’s online store. The masks were assembled by a family whose income was diminished by the pandemic. All proceeds will then be donated to ensure the continued purchase of PPEs for medical workers and test kits for persons under investigation.
The masks are washable and reusable and are made of layers of Neoprene fabric. To wear the mask, tie the attached strings together above the ear for a secure and snug fit.
