MANILA – Canon, a world leader in digital imaging solutions, unveiled three new printers in its PIXMA range: the PIXMA iX6770 and iP8770 A3+ single-function printers and the MG5570 A4 Office All-In-One printer.
iX6770: get your ideas noticed
The PIXMA iX6770 is a heavy duty inkjet business printer that is able to print everything from 4″ x 6″ mailers to 11″ x 17″ spreadsheets – even big 13″ x 19″ presentation charts, making it easy for you to present ideas and complicated data in high detail. This printer is also designed to make color replacement economical as it comes with individual ink tanks, allowing one to replace only what needs to be replaced.
iP8770: excellent monochrome prints
Monochrome printing requires just as much care as color printing. One has to look no further than the PIXMA iP8770, a six-ink printer that is equally capable of printing vivid color photographs and A3 size documents. Equipped with Gray Ink, in addition to the standard Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Photo Black set, it ensures consistently high quality monochrome prints as it provides a stable Gray balance and reduces the graininess in lighter areas of images.
With wireless connectivity support and the availability of Direct Disc Printing, the iP8770 makes for an ideal companion in modern wireless-enabled homes and design agencies where printing resources are often shared among several users.
MG5570: makes printing a breeze
This photo all-in-one printer comes with Cloud Printing Solutions which is easy to install and use. Its smart design, which includes the ChromaLife100+ system, delivers a combination of high performance and real convenience, allowing one to print beautiful, borderless photos up to 8.5”x11” and crisp, high quality documents. Its five individual ink tanks allow the user to replace only what needs to be replaced. And with a 2.5” LCD screen, the MG5570 lets one preview images before printing and correct photos with Auto Photo Fix II.
Personalized printing solutions
In an increasingly mobile world, Canon answers a growing mobile printing need with the PIXMA Printing Solutions app which offers one-stop printing and scanning of photos and documents straight from mobile devices based on the Apple iOS and Android OS interfaces. The easy-to-use app allows users to access the printer Remote User interface (Remote UI) so that one can check ink cartridge model codes, remaining ink levels in the printer and initiate maintenance functions such as printhead alignment and cleaning.
The latest PIXMA wireless printers can access the new Cableless Setup solution which is integrated into the app. This allows for secure setup in wireless environments. Say goodbye to installing utility programs on host PCs.
In addition, PIXMA IP8770 and MG5570 are cloud-aware devices which offer true print-from-anywhere mobility when paired with the Google Cloud Print service. This feature allows printing even when users are out of the office, using the Gmail or Google Docs interface on any mobile device or from the Google Chrome web browser on PCs and laptops running on Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Chrome.
Creative printing and image organization
Creative printing is a reality with Canon’s My Image Garden, a software which offers image organization and creative printing features. Photographs can be organized by Calendar, Event and People views, utilizing Image Assortment and Face Recognition technology for the latter.
My Image Garden also features integration with Full HD Movie Print which allows users to capture and extract the most perfect frames from high definition movies captured on Canon EOS, PowerShot, IXUS cameras, as well as Vixia camcorders. Photos can also be transformed with unique Fun Filter Effects such as Fish Eye and Miniature adjustments to produce wildly creative picture-perfect memories.
