MANILA —  In a Grand Awards Night ceremony on April 25 at the BGC Arts Center, adobo magazine unveiled the winning entries of the adobo Design Awards Asia 2018 (aDAA) chosen from over 200 entries across Asia.

Originally launched in 2007, the adobo Design Awards Asia aims to champion the best designs and recognize the talents behind the work. With its partnership with D&AD—the most prestigious awards-giving body in design—in 2016 and 2017, it has established itself as one of the key awards shows not only in the Philippines but also in the whole Asia.

Head of Jury and Grey Advertising Thailand’s Chief Creative Officer, Jureeporn Thaidumrong, led a panel of global design experts to judge the entries last March 20-21. “I believe that Filipino has a lot of talented people and artists and creatives. I would love to see more of the outstanding and brave and [courageous creatives to] not follow anyone but follow [their] own thing,” shared Thaidumrong. “For me the most important thing is finding the insight—the human insight first—and then we come up with the idea solution and design solution.”
